Delhi Riots Case: Court extends the judicial custody of all the accused till January 5

The court has extended the judicial custody of all the accused in the Delhi riots case till January 5. The judge noted that the High Court has stayed the matter and he cannot go ahead at the current time so therefore the court has asked Umar Khalid’s counsel to move an application seeking provision of a soft copy of the charge sheet to provide him in jail. Hence, the custody has been extended of all the accused. The matter will now be taken up by the High Court in January. The riots accused have to stay in jail till January 5 as no trial can take place currently. Umar Khalid has been repeatedly stating that he has not been given a physical copy or a hard copy of the charge sheet, but as per the council of the judge, they have received a soft copy of the charge sheet.
