Rain lashed parts of New Delhi as the national capital received moderate to strong rainfall on Monday afternoon. Visuals and videos were shared on Twitter and social media as the residents of Delhi felt relieved after rains graced the capital city. With this rain, Monsoon has finally arrived in Delhi-NCR region. News of strong winds blowing across Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR) was widely reported.
Earlier, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted “light rain till Thursday.” The rains brought the much needed relief for the citizens from heat and humidity. Twitter users ensured that images of the rain do not go unnoticed as the social media site was flooded with images of the rain.

As is evident from the tweets above, the monsoon and rains have brought relief for the Delhiites. However, there are also complaints of traffic woes and other rain related troubles that some complaint about. But Delhi this year has had a late monsoon and the Monday showers have brought much needed relief for one and all in the city.
