Delhi Police's Special Cell & Crime Branch to probe Republic Day violence; damaged CCTV to recover

The Crime Branch and the Special Cell of the Delhi Police are investigating the violence that broke out on the Republic Day during the farmers' tractor rally parade in the national capital. It is said that out of the 33 cases that have been registered in this incident, 9 serious cases will be probed by the Crime Branch. The Special Cell is trying to retrieve the damaged CCTV footage of the incident. The police have added two more sections of Indian Penal Code in the charge sheet. One is Prevention of Insult to National Hour Act 1971 and the second is section 153 which generally deals with rioting.
