Delhi: Fire breaks out in Safdarjung Hospital's ICU ward & at an East Delhi garment factory

Over 50 patients were rescued by the fire department with the help of hospital staff from South Delhi's Safdarjung hospital that got caught in fire around around 6:35 AM this morning in the ICU ward of the hospital. The rescue vehicle's arrival was timely as there was not much rush and the traffic was also very less which lead them to manage to reach on time. So far no casualty has been reported. However, the hospital shall setup an enquiry to evaluate the situation and identify if there was any laicity that needs to be acknowledged since this was the most sensitive part of the entire hospital. Meanwhile, another accidental fire case was reported in East Delhi's Gandhi market which is the Asia's largest garment market including multiple shops as well as warehouses of the major garment industry. The stock is reported to be not attended to with stringent safety measures which is the current assumption as the cause. The fire broke out around around 8:50 AM in the market and the rescue team is yet to clear and get it under control.
