Delhi COVID surge triggers alarm | Ground Report

The National Capital is recording a surge in the COVID cases, which has triggered off an alarm. Yesterday, the Delhi government was pulled up by the High Court over the government's inaction and inefficiency in combating the COVID situation. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal also had an all-party meeting yesterday and has decided to increase the fine to Rs 2,000 for not wearing a mask in public. Delhi today recorded 7,500 new cases and 98 deaths in the last 24 hours. Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain states that the COVID beds in the hospitals have been increased.

Times Now's reporters bring a ground report from various parts of the National Capital. While the youngsters have welcomed the move of Rs 2,000 fine, people on the Delhi Noida border can still be seen without wearing masks.
