The court also asked the police to appoint an investigation officer to look into the matter and revert with the Action Taken Report.

A lower court of Delhi has sought Action Taken Report (ATR) from SHO North Avenue Police Station on the alleged rape of a female lawyer by sitting BJP MP KC Patel from Valsad, Gujarat.

The court also asked the SHO to appoint an investigation officer to investigate the matter and revert with the ATR. Next date for the case has been scheduled for May 12.

When the police didn't cooperate and did not register an FIR, the victim approached the court seeking registration of FIR against the BJP MP.

In her complaint, the victim said that Patel wanted a lawyer for his case in the Supreme Court. According to her, she was raped by the MP at his official residence March 3, 2017 when she was invited for dinner there. The victim alleged that she was raped on several other occasions by the MP.

The victim also alleged that the MP threatened her of dire consequences and asked her to keep her mouth shut or else she would be killed.
