As all political parties race to win MCD polls, the Delhi Commission for Women has sent a notice to South Delhi Municipal Corporation over absence of street lights. It had received a complaint from the Delhi Vidhansabha about the absence of street lights. The commission has sought reasons from the civic body for the absence of street lights despite receiving the MLA fund.
This is the second notice issued after the first one was issued on March 31. The civic body has been given three days to reply. The DCW said that LED street lights are a serious issue and affect women's security.
