Addressing the concern of pollution, increasing COVID-19 cases, and stubble burning, Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal gave a briefing today. The Chief Minister said Delhi government is committed to finding a resolution to these problems. He thanked Pusa Institute of Technology for coming up with a bio- decomposer which converts stubble into fertilizer. This decomposing solution is cost effective with a price as low as Rs. 30 per acre. In an assessment of this solution across 24 villages in Delhi results showed 70 to 95 percent results.
Kejriwal urged the Centre and state governments of Haryana, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh to use the bio-decomposer technique and prevent stubble burning causing pollution and increase in Covid-19 cases in Delhi.
