Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal announces extension of lockdown in National Capital

Delhi has been observing a lockdown for the past 4 weeks after a sudden spike was witnessed in the National Capital in the COVID-19 cases. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has announced the extension of the lockdown in the National Capital by one week. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal held a press briefing today to update about the current COVID crisis in the National Capital. Arvind Kejriwal states that the positivity rate in the National Capital has dipped down to 5%. The fresh cases which were being reported earlier went up to 26,000 in 24 hours, and the case count has now seen a decline with as many as 1,600 cases being reported in the last 24 hours. He further commented on the vaccine crunch in the National Capital and pays tribute to the frontline workers who have lost their lives in the line of their duty.
