Delhi claims need for more O2 after receiving 700 MT from Centre; puts estimate on health bulletin

On the day when the SC was hearing a of a case regarding the provision of oxygen to Delhi. Now the capital’s government has reiterated the demand by putting out the estimate on a health bulletin. It has now come up with the requirement of 996 MT of oxygen as opposed to the 700 already allotted yesterday. This is an ongoing blame game in the SC where the Delhi govt claimed that they were allotted around 500 MT and received even less around 400 MT as opposed to the Centre’s claim. The SC has stayed the Delhi HC’s contempt proceedings. The formulae of calculating 976 MT was also quoted in the court backed by an example of the Mumbai state government’s strategies.
