Auto-rickshaw fares in Delhi have been revised as the 18.75 percent hike came into force on Tuesday, 18 June, news agency ANI reported.
The metre would now charge Rs 25 for the first 1.5 kms, a change from the previous 2 kms for the same amount. The charges per kilometre have gone up to Rs 9.5 from the previous Rs 8.
Apart from that, a Rs 7.5 charge has been initiated for luggage, and Rs 0.75 would be levied for each minute that the auto is waiting.
The new fares were announced by the Aam Aadmi Party government on 15 June.
