Delhi air pollution crisis worsen as AQI recorded at 724; highest single day COVID-19 cases recorded

Delhi is facing two major problems; one being the increasing rise in air pollution due to the stubble burning in Punjab and Haryana and the other being the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in the state. The air quality in Delhi remained in the 'severe' category due to unabated stubble burning in adjoining regions of Delhi. The Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 724, according to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR).

Delhi also recorded the highest single-day spike in the COVID-19 cases.
