New Delhi, August 18: Pawan Dahiya, the security manager of a 5-star hotel accused of allegedly molesting a woman employee, has been arrested, said Dependra Pathak, Chief PRO of Delhi Police on Friday. The woman employee, who was allegedly molested at the 5-star hotel in Delhi’s Aerocity, said that she has been sacked. The 33-year-old woman was allegedly molested by Dahiya on July 29. She claimed that Dahiya assaulted her by calling her in a hotel room. The incident was caught on CCTV.
The woman said that when she reported the incident to the Human Resources Department, no action was taken against the accused but she was sacked. “I showed the footage to my ma’am but she said only a warning letter will be given to him, he will then get you terminated. I have been terminated from job now,” the woman claimed as quoted by news agency ANI.
Speaking to TV channels on Friday, she also said that she will take the legal route against the hotel to make sure the accused loses his job and she gets her job back.
In the CCTV footage, the security manager was seen pulling the victim’s saree and trying to undress her. The footage also captured another hotel staff member, who later left the room. The victim, who had been working in the guest section of the hotel for two years, also alleged that the accused was forcing her for a physical relationship.
The hotel authorities on the other hand said that the accused has been suspended. “We have suspended the accused security manager,” said Raja Singh, the hotel’s PR Officer.
