Sunrisers Hyderabad wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha and Delhi Capitals’ Amit Mishra have tested positive for the coronavirus and the teams have duly gone into quarantine, according to various reports.
SRH are scheduled to play defending champions Mumbai Indians on Tuesday, but in all likelihood, it is going to be a second consecutive postponement in the tournament. Delhi are scheduled to play KKR next on 8 May.
On Monday, the game between KKR and RCB was postponed after Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier tested positive in Ahmedabad.
In Delhi, where SRH and MI are stationed, three non-playing members of the CSK side have also tested positive for COVID-19 including their bowling coach L Balaji. CSK too are in quarantine and their match against Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday, 5 May too is likely to be rescheduled.
Meanwhile, the BCCI is contemplating moving the tournament in it’s entirety to Mumbai soon.
