Denmark’s ban on the face veil in public places, that came into effect on 1 August, has created quite a stir worldwide. On the day the ban commenced, the first fine was issued to a woman in a mall when a small scuffle broke out between her and another woman questioning her attire and the niqab donned by her.
Danish Cop Takes A Stand
The local police have been instructed to issue a fine to any woman covering her face with a niqab. However, in a heartwarming moment captured on video, a local police officer is seen hugging a woman wearing a niqab at a protest march.
The veil ban came into force this week in Denmark. Whilst, the first woman was charged with a fine yesterday, this was the moment a Danish female cop decided to embrace a woman wearing the veil instead of issuing her with a £120 fine. pic.twitter.com/0llOXQrt7X

Denmark has followed the lead of Belgium - one of the first nations to implement the ban - in making the decision. The European Court of Human Rights upheld the decision made by Belgium’s government last year.
so the first woman has been fined under denmark's new burqa ban after another woman ripped her niqab off her and police were called. the niqab wearing woman faces ~100€ fine and repeated offenses might increase it to ~1000€. normal country.

Police are supposed to hand out fines to those, who wear face veils.

The government has cited security issues as being the main reason for the ban being imposed in the first place.
Denmark cited "Democratic values" for its ban on the Niqab. I'm always amused when people say "Democratic values", what values are those? Majority rules? Minorities can be oppressed on majority say so? Being told what you can/can't do by a small group of self-serving politicians?
