‘Dandi March' controversy: Congress opposes the move, asks PM to first call out Godse-backers in BJP

A massive political face-off has begun over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plan to mark 75 years of India’s independence. The Opposition interrupted the PM’s speech where he was going to announce 75 events in 75 weeks to mark 75 years of India’s independence. Modi will flag off the Dandi March in Ahmedabad, however, the Congress has raised questions on the plan and said that the PM must focus on calling out Nathuram Godse-sympathisers within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) first claiming that they are following the footsteps of Godse and BJP members worship the man who killed Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.
