The Dalai Lama inaugurates a three-day International Buddhist Conclave in Bihar's Nalanda on Friday. The conclave is taking place at Rajgir International Convention Centre (RICC), is jointly organised by Nava Nalanda Mahavihara (NNM) and a deemed university and Union Ministry of Culture. This conclave is being termed as a first serious academic discourse on Buddhism by the organisers. President Pranab Mukherjee is scheduled to attend the closing ceremony on Sunday. Nearly 1000 representatives from 35 countries around the globe are attending the Conclave.
