New Cyclone Yaas originates in Bay of Bengal; IMD predicts landfall on 26th May

Several parts of the country continue to recover from the aftermath of cyclone Tauktae. Cyclone Yaas which now originating from in the Bay of Bengal is expected to make landfall on 26th May and is likely to affect northern Odisha as well as some parts of West Bengal. Cyclone Yaas is expected to intensify into a very severe cyclone and may make landfall on 26th May in parts of Bengal and certain districts of Northern Odisha unlike Tauktae this is the cyclone that originated in the Bay of Bengal.
