Crude oil futures rise on spot demand

New Delhi, Jul 13 (PTI) Crude oil prices rose Rs 63 to Rs 5,561 per barrel on Tuesday as participants widened their positions on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for the July delivery traded higher by Rs 63, or 1.15 per cent, at Rs 5,561 per barrel in 5,330 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in the futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil gained 0.72 per cent to USD 74.63 per barrel, while Brent crude traded 0.73 per cent higher at USD 75.71 per barrel in New York. PTI SHW ANU ANU
