CPM Kerala Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan cites health issues & steps down from the post

CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has gone on leave. A Vijayaraghavan will replace him. According to the party, Kodiyeri has been granted leave for his further health treatment. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan had informed the CPM state secretariat that he should stand aside for treatment. The party agreed and a Vijayaraghavan, the Left Front convener, was appointed to replace him. 'The state secretariat has accepted the demand that CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan be granted a leave of absence from the post of secretary as he needs further treatment. A Vijayaraghavan will be the secretary. The same is said in a press release issued by the State Secretariat.
