Cowell wants Cheryl back at any cost

London, Nov 30 (IANS) "The X Factor" boss Simon Cowell is desperate to get singer Cheryl Cole back as judge on the show's British version.

Cheryl, 29, judged the show in 2008, but her position was later given to singer Nicole Scherzinger. Now the show's ratings are said to have gone for a dip and it is said to have lost out on almost 3 million viewers.

So, Cowell wants Cheryl to be back.

"He's desperate to get Cheryl back on 'The X Factor' Britain because it has lost its way," thesun.co.uk quoted a source as saying.

"The money on the table would be a fortune at least double what she got last time. She could have what she wanted," the source added.

The current panel of judges include Nicole Scherzinger, Tulisa Contostavlos, Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh.
