COVID vaccine pricing row: Didi writes to PM Modi; demands uniformity in prices

India will be beginning the third phase of the vaccination drive from May 1st and in the third phase, anyone above the age of 18 years will be eligible to get the vaccine jabs. However, the politics over the vaccine jabs has once again begun, with West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee writing to PM Modi once again over the pricing of the vaccines. The vaccines will be available in the government hospitals for Rs 400 and Rs 600 in private hospitals. Didi has reiterated that there should be a uniformity in the prices of the vaccines. This after the Centre decided to decentralize the vaccines and that the state governments can procure them as well. Watch to know more.
