Covid Vaccine gap debate reignited, 45- Week gap boosts immunity

A new study conducted by Oxford University on the Covid vaccine dose gap. Covishield is being given here in India, the gap between the two doses was increased. Now stands at 12 to 16 weeks, This latest study says dealing the second dose could boost immunity in the beneficiary and could help to fight off Covid-19 in a better and more effective manner. A booster shot increases antibody and T-cell immune responses. That has now brought the focus back on how to deal with the vaccine dose gap here in India.
