COVID spike reported in Delhi: CM Arvind Kejriwal calls for emergency meet

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has called for a crucial review meeting amid the surge that is now being witnessed in the number of COVID-19 cases. Even though Maharashtra continues to be the worst-affected state, Delhi too is joining the league. AIIMS director has issued a warning for Delhi as 81,000 fresh cases have been reported in the last 24 hours. Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain is also attending the review meeting chaired by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. The cabinet has also decided to ramp up the vaccination drive, which means that the vaccination will also now be given on public holidays as well.
