COVID: ‘Lift lockdown when positivity rate comes below 10%,’ suggests MD Dr Lal PathLabs

New Delhi, May 15 (ANI): “COVID lockdown should be lifted once positivity rate comes down to below 10 per cent,” advised Managing Director of Dr Lal PathLabs, Doctor Arvind Lal on May 15. “We are undergoing second surge right now, we were adding 400,000 cases every day but now they have come down to 3.25 lakh cases and from 4000 deaths per day we have reduced to nearly 3,500 slightly around that figure. Our national positivity rate is around 21% therefore the lockdown has to be maintained. Lockdown can only lift it once positivity rate comes down to below 10%. Hopefully the worst is behind us,” said Dr Lal.
