COVID cases spike in Children: Centre forms expert panel to review the situation

An expert panel has now been formed after the COVID cases in children see a spike. The spike now indicates that the third wave could pose more threat to the kids and the Centre is now preparing guidelines after the virus has changed its behaviour. A National Expert group will be reviewing the COVID-19 infections in children. Further, the panel will also approach the pandemic as a way to strengthen the preparedness against the third wave. Dr VK Paul of the Niti Aayog in a press briefing stated that symptoms of COVID in kids are minimal and many are asymptomatic. He further adds that if the children contract the virus, the implications of the disease is not severe. Watch the video to know more.
