Kohima, Nov 16 (PTI) Nagaland's COVID-19 tally on Monday crossed the 10,000-mark as 140 more people tested positive for the infection, Health and Family Welfare Minister S Pangnyu Phom said.
Forty-six more patients were cured of the disease during the day, taking the total number of recoveries to 8,860, he said.
However, the recovery rate in the state has fallen to 88.37 per cent from 89.16 per cent on Sunday, Director of Health Department, Dr Denis Hangsing said in the daily COVID- 19 bulletin.
The state's COVID-19 caseload has increased to 10,025 and at present there are 1,009 active coronavirus cases, he said.
A fresh fatality in Kohima has pushed the death toll to 57, the health official said.
Six of the 57 deaths are not related to COVID-19, he said.
A total of 99 patients have migrated to other states, Hangsing said.
Taking to Twitter, the minister said, '140 +ve cases of # COVID-19 detected today. Kohima- 116, Dimapur- 24. Also, 46 +ve patients have recovered. Mon- 44, Kohima- 2.' Dimapur has the maximum number of active cases at 565, followed by Kohima (370) and Mon (43).
The state has conducted 1,05,213 sample tests for COVID-19 so far, Hangsing said.
A total of 65,026 samples were tested through RT-PCR method, 34,994 through TrueNat while 5,193 rapid antigen tests were carried out, he said. PTI NBS MM MM
