Covid-19 scare: In a new one-day record, Delhi reports over 17,000 cases of Coronavirus

More than 17,000 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Delhi, a new high since the pandemic hit the national capital last year, and nearly double the 9925 cases reported in Mumbai, the financial capital. The death toll reached 104, the highest since November 30. In Mumbai, 54 people were killed. Today, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will meet with Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, followed by the Health Minister, Chief Secretary, Health Secretary, and other senior officials. Since Sunday, the second wave of Covid has wreaked havoc on Delhi, with more than 10,000 cases recorded per day. Over the course of a 24-hour span on Tuesday, the city reported 13,500 new Covid incidents, bringing the total to 7,36,788.
