COVID-19: Pediatric population generally asymptomatic, but have to take seriously, suggests NITI Aayog

New Delhi, June 1 (ANI): On June 1, while briefing media, Dr. VK Paul, Member (Health), NITI Aayog emphasized on the transmission of COVID-19 in children. He said, “The pediatric population is generally asymptomatic. They often get infections but their symptoms are minimal or nil, though the infection has not take serious shape but, we have to take it seriously.” He further added, “But the virus may change its behavior in the pediatric population. The impact of COVID-19 may increase in children. The data has shown that a low number of children are being admitted to hospitals. We're pushing preparedness day the day to solve this problem.”
