A group of 15 migrant workers are making bamboo tree guards at a relief camp in Surajpur district of Chhattisgarh. This job has been provided them by the Forest Department. Forest Department also provided them with bamboos to make tree guards and they are being paid Rs 200 for making a tree guard so a worker earns around Rs 500 per day. A labourer informed that they hail from Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh. He added, "We have been working since April 20 and have earned over Rs 24,000 so far. We are very happy." District Collector Deepak Soni said, "We are providing them food and other essentials, as we consider them as our guests". Migrant labourers in several states can't go to their hometown due to coronavirus lockdown.
