Covid-19 Latest Updates: New restrictions in Maharashtra; Night curfew in Pune, Panvel and Mohali

Due to a spike in Covid-19 cases in Pune, the Maharashtra government issued strict Covid-19 guidelines for the region on Friday. Schools and colleges have been ordered to close until March 31, and restaurants, malls, and theaters have been ordered to close by 10 p.m. every night. The state government has banned gatherings of more than five people in the district and instituted a night curfew. Every day from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., a curfew will be in effect.

As the number of covid-19 cases in Punjab increases, many districts in the state have enforced night curfews and other restrictive measures to prevent the virus from spreading. The night curfew in Mohali and Fatehgarh Sahib will be in place until further notice, according to authorities. In the aftermath of the Covid surge, a night curfew will be imposed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
