Watch: Soap fans offered chance of overnight stay on Coronation Street
Coronation Street is offering fans the unique opportunity to stay on the cobbles for one night only in ‘The Rovers’ Annexe’.
The temporary Airbnb will be a self-contained pop-up house in the middle of the iconic street, open to just two guests.
The lucky guests can expect a tour of the set and will be tucking into a hotpot dinner while watching classic episodes of the ITV soap.
Head of continuing drama John Whiston said: "What fan of Coronation Street hasn’t had a dream where you find yourself transported into the show itself, wandering around the houses of your best-loved characters? I certainly have.
“This unique stay gives you the chance to do just that, stay the night and wake up right next to the Rovers Return.
“What better way to celebrate Britain opening up again than your very own staycation on the nation’s favourite street.”
The bookable date of 2 October will be made available on the Airbnb website on Wednesday 26 May at 1pm and offered on a first come first served basis.
The Airbnb listing states the property has been finished in styles with the neighbouring residences, complete with red bricks and a green door.
It adds: "Guests can enjoy a spacious living area to relax in, featuring bold wallpaper and contemporary yet cosy furniture.
"The room also features a dedicated dining area where guests can sit and enjoy hotpot for tea as they watch some of the most loved Coronation Street episodes from the past 60 years.
"The adjoining bedroom, fitted with two single beds, provides comfy bedding and prime street views."
