Coriander futures rise on spot demand

New Delhi, May 18 (PTI) Coriander prices on Monday rose Rs 34 to Rs 5,980 per quintal in futures trade as speculators widened their holdings tracking firm trend at the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander for May delivery went up Rs 34, or 0.57 per cent, to Rs 5,980 per quintal with an open interest of 520 lots. However, coriander for delivery in June went down by Rs 64, or 1.13 per cent to Rs 5,595 per quintal with an open interest of 3,270 lots.

A firm trend in spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions pushed up coriander prices here, market analysts said. PTI SRS SHW SHW
