Coriander futures rise on spot demand

New Delhi, May 15 (PTI) Coriander prices Friday rose Rs 65 to Rs 5,860 per quintal in futures trade as speculators widened their holdings tracking firm trend at the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander for May delivery went up Rs 65, or 1.12 per cent, to Rs 5,860 per quintal with an open interest of 590 lots.

Coriander for delivery in June went up by Rs 36, or 0.64 per cent to Rs 5,649 per quintal with an open interest of 3,090 lots.

A firm trend in spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions pushed up coriander prices here, market analysts said. PTI SRS SHW SHW
