Content of the toolkit does not show sedition, says the former SC judge Deepak Gupta

Former Supreme Court Judge Deepak Gupta's publicly available content of the 'toolkit' that led to the arrest of 22-year-old climate activist Disha Ravi does not reveal sedition. The former judge noted that travelling to the nation's capital to press your demands is not an act of sedition.

In connection with a toolkit for the agitation of farmers, Ms. Ravi was sentenced to custody on various charges such as sedition, criminal conspiracy, and spreading enmity between classes. Justice Gupta cited the Balwant Singh case in which two men accused of raising some slogans such as "Khalistan zindabad" were dismissed by the apex court.
