Goa was one of the first state that went to polls after (more than) a month long election season. When Manohar Parrikar cast his vote on 10 February, he was confident of a clear majority.
Not only did the BJP fail to get a clear majority, they even failed to become the single largest party. To add salt to the wounds, the incumbent Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar also failed to secure a win from his constituency.
If it was bad for BJP, then things were horrible to say the least for AAP. The debutante in Goa politics, failed to even open its account.
Meanwhile, RSS rebel Mahrashtrawadi Gomantak was able to secure 3 seats while Congress emerged as single largest party with 17 seats, but fell four short of an absolute majority.
