Congress social media head Divya Spandana spreads lies about PM Modi

Congress social media and communications head Divya Spandana is at it again.

Divya Spandana

On Monday, in her bid to belittle the nation’s prime minister, she was caught spreading lies about Narendra Modi’s educational qualifications. She tweeted an incomplete and edited video clip of 29 seconds from an interview in which Modi is seen stating that he has studied till high school.

However, the Congress media cell conveniently omitted the rest of the interview, where Modi adds that on the request of a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh functionary, he completed his BA from Delhi University and later secured an MA degree through ‘external examinations’.

The clip Spandana tweeted is from the 1998 interview, when Modi was the general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party, conducted by Rajeev Shukla, who was a journalist at that time, for his TV show Ru-Ba-Ru.

Spandana has since admitted her mistake, but has not yet deleted the misleading tweet that continues to spread untruth about the prime minister
