Congress' Rahul Gandhi Sparks Democracy Debate, says “India is no longer a democratic country”

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday slammed the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said that India was no longer a democratic country. “India is no longer a democratic country, “ Rahul Gandhi said in his tweet as he shared a news clipping which read ‘India now as autocratic as Pakistan, worse than Bangladesh: Sweden institute’s democracy report’.
Gandhi has been consistently targeting the government over the rising fuel prices, farm laws, and other issues. Recently, Rahul accused the Modi government of publishing people in the swamp of price rise just to earn taxes.
There has been no official statement by the BJP government till now on Gandhi’s tweet.
