The Indian National Congress had set up a five-member committee to look into the party’s performance in Kerala, Assam, Puducherry, and West Bengal. While the assessment of the three states has been submitted, that of West Bengal is still under process. The report also put forward several recommendations and suggestions to strengthen the organization. Former Maharashtra chief minister Ashok Chavan, who heads the group, told PTI, "We have submitted our report on poll losses in Assam, Puducherry, and Kerala and have given our suggestions and recommendations."
