Bengaluru bar brawl: Congress expels MLA's son who thrashed man over his way of sitting

A man was attacked at a pub in Bengaluru by a Congress MLA's son.

An embarrassed Congress today expelled MLA NA Harris's son Mohammed Nalapad after an FIR was filed against him in Bengaluru for allegedly assaulting a man at a restro-bar on Saturday night.

Son of Shantinagar MLA, Mohammed Nalapad, who was the Bangalore District Youth Congress General Secretary, has now been blacklisted from the party for six years.

Nalapad along-with his 10 friends, reportedly got into an argument with a man identified as Vidwath, over his way of sitting.

Due to a fractured limb, Vidwath was sitting in a certain manner, that irked Nalapad and group, ensuing an ugly brawl.

Vidwath's ordeal did not end at the restaurant, where he was beat up brutally by the irate mob, while the management and other revellers stood by.

Reportedly, Nalapad and his friends followed the victim and his brother to the hospital he was rushed to and thrashed him there as well.

According to the FIR, Vidwath's brother was also beaten up at the hospital.

Soon after this incident, the Opposition demanded strict action against the accused, with BJP workers calling for Nalapad's expulsion.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also tweeted:

The Bengaluru Police have now formed two teams led by ACP Manjunath to nab all the 11 accused. Meanwhile, Nalapad is on the run.
