Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has reached the Surat Court for his hearing in the 2019 defamation case. The Congress MP was sued by a BJP leader for his remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the campaign trail during the 2019 elections. A complaint was filed against Rahul Gandhi in April 2019 under IPC sections 499 and 500 that deal with defamation. Rahul Gandhi had appeared before the court in October 2019 and had pleaded not guilty for his comment. TIMES NOW's Amit reports from outside the Court.
