: On Monday, opposition leaders attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his address in Rajya Sabha for his reference to 'aandolan jeevi' (professional protesters) and support for the protest of farmers from abroad as "Foreign Destructive Ideology" saying it comes from someone whose governance is based on "Fear, Deception, Intimidation"
During his reply to the Motion of Thanks to the President's address in Rajya Sabha, Modi referred to professional protestors and FDI as Foreign Destructive Ideology. MP P Chidambaram, former Finance Minister and senior Congress leader, also found fault with Modi's coinage and said the BJP's "this mindset" should go. He said that human rights know no boundaries and that India has long commented on international issues. MP Mallikarjun Kharge of Congress said there was no substance in Modi's speech and he ignored Congress' proposal on what is missing in the three farm laws and dismissed farmers, graduates and scientists'concerns that nobody knows anything.
