Congress hits out Centre; vaccine shortage is hampering covid fight

Jairam Ramesh, a Congress lawmaker, today complained against the poor pace of Covid immunization throughout the country and requested the administration to speed up the process. Vaccine shortages, he claimed, are now hampered even in states loyal to the Modi government, such as Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, as well as states run by the opposition. Either double vaccine procurement or allocate vaccines to governments fairly and transparently are the two options to move forward. The Congress has chastised the administration for the country's poor vaccination rate and has requested it to speed up the immunization campaign to protect citizens from the coronavirus.
