Congress, BJP indulge in war of words over Parrikar's appointment as Goa CM

Congress leader Pradeep Tamta on Monday alleged Goa Governor Mridula Sinha of going against the Constitution in connection to her decision of appointing the Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar as the next chief minister. He also blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of practicing unconstitutional ways to stake claim for forming their government in Goa. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, on the other hand, lambasted the grand-old Congress Party, saying that its lack of appeal made it face such election results.

Janata Dal (United) leader Pradeep Tamta, however, kept his fingers crossed, saying that he hopes that the Governor will play an impartial role in Goa.
