Indore, November 8: Illegal construction in Indore belonging to Swami Namdev Tyagi, popularly known as Computer Baba, was demolished by the administration today. At least four JCB machines were pressed into service to demolish Computer Baba's properties constructed illegally. According to Additional District Magistrate (ADM), six people were detained by police after they attempted to obstruct the demolition process.
Computer Baba was once in good books of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He was appointed as minister of state (MoS) by the BJP government. However, prior to the 2018 assembly elections, Computer Baba had resigned and announced to campaign for the Congress. He had accused Chouhan of not fulfilling promises, including cleaning the Narmada river.
