Compared to previous editions, there are relatively less number of concept cars. However, there are still quite a few brands who are showcasing their uniquely designed, futuristic concept cars.
Chevrolet Beat Activ
The Chevrolet Beat Activ is a crossover version based on the existing hatchback model. The Beat Activ is a concept which boasts of LED lighting in the headlamps and fog lamps, has a two-tier grille, and has a unique design.
Maruti Suzuki’s concept car is the Ignis which is aimed at the mini-SUV segment. This compact car is based on the Baleno platform and will be launched in the festive season later this year.
In terms of design, the Ignis is built on an entirely new platform, Maruti Suzuki said here on Thursday. Up front it gets LED infused headlamps chrome surround fog lamps and a chrome grille.
Hyundai HND-14 Carlin
Another concept aimed at the compact SUV segment. Hyundai’s Carlino has a futuristic design, measures less than four metres and makes quite an impression. The launch date of this concept car wasn’t revealed.
Mahindra’s concept car, the Aero is based on its popular SUV, the XUV500. It’s a coupe crossover concept which is drawing a lot of attention at the Auto Expo. However, the launch date or price and specifications haven’t been revealed by the company.
