Cold wave conditions in Rajasthan; Mt Abu shivers below freezing point

Jaipur, Jan 27 (PTI) Cold wave conditions prevailed in most parts of Rajasthan due to snowfall in the Himalayan region, a MeT department official said on Wednesday.

Mount Abu, the state's only hill station, recorded three degrees below the freezing point.

In the plains, Sikar recorded one degree Celsius followed by 1.8 degrees in Bhilwara, 2.1 degrees in Churu, 2.7 degrees in Chittorgarh, 4.4 degrees in Pilani and 4.8 degrees Celsius in Sriganganagar.

Capital city Jaipur recorded 6.6 degrees Celsius on Tuesday night, he said.

According to the meteorological department, cold wave condition will continue in the state in the coming days.
