Cold conditions prevail in parts of Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, Jan 27 (PTI) Cold conditions prevailed in some parts of Uttar Pradesh where Meerut was the coldest with a low of 2.4 degrees Celsius, the Meteorological department said here on Wednesday.

Dense to very dense fog occurred at isolated places in the state.

'Cold day to severe cold day conditions prevailed at few places over east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places over West UP,' the MET department said.

The day temperatures rose appreciably in Ayodhaya and Agra divisions; fell appreciably in Jhansi division and there was no major change in the remaining divisions in the state, it said.

The highest maximum temperature in the state was 18.8 degrees Celsius recorded at Churk observatory in Sonbhadra.PTI ABN DV DV
