Newly appointed chief minister Adityanath Yogi on Thursday promised to resolve all water-related issues of the Bundelkhand region in the next two years.
Yogi, who was on his first visit to the Bundelkhand as CM, also promised a six-lane expressway to connect it to the other parts of the state and the country. Yogi went ahead for a surprise visit to a pond in Kakori village in Jhansi and instructed officials to ensure proper water level in the ponds of Bundelkhand. Besides paying surprise visits to some primary schools and giving special instructions regarding mid-day meal, Yogi also visited the district hospital in Jhansi and local wheat purchase centre for quick reviews.
"Our ministers are working for 18 hours a day. Earlier, the attendance was not over an hour. You people tell us where we are wrong. We are working for the prosperity of the state and curbing all wrongdoings of the previous governments. We need your support and assistance," said Yogi in Jhansi.
