CM Kejriwal addresses the media on COVID wave 2.0; Lays emphasis on ration card holders

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal addressed the media concerning the COVID crisis in the National Capital. Talking about the issue of ration card holders, he stated that Delhi will provide ration to people who do not possess a ration card. The scheme is specifically designed for the poor and underprivileged. He also adds that the new scheme will come into force within a day or two. He also adds that centre has fixed a quota for ration card holders, hence new ration cards cannot be provided. He stated that ration cardholders will get 10 kg (5 kg from Delhi government and 5 kg from Central government) ration for free this month. Those who do not have a ration card will be given 5 kg of ration free by the Delhi Government. He further adds, Rs 50,000 ex-gratia will be provided to COVID victim’s family. Pension of Rs 2,500 pension along with the ex-gratia amount for those who lost earning member of the family. Watch the video to know more!
